Dr. Louis Sloan joined North Texas Infectious Diseases Consultants in 1994 and unfortunately left us when he lost his battle with lymphoma in 2017. He became a partner in the practice in 2000 and the sole owner in 2007 when he implemented all the changes that have occurred over the years. Dr. Sloan developed a clinical research program for HIV/AIDS, a specialty retail pharmacy to help his HIV patients get their medications, expanded the infusion center to include a satellite office and a 17 chair infusion center at our downtown location, and grew the practice to include 7 providers and a staff of over 60 employees.

He was dedicated to all infectious disease patients but had a special place in his heart for HIV patients to try to find a cure for the disease. He was loved by all his patients, colleagues, staff, friends, family and most anyone who knew him. We miss Dr. Sloan terribly each day but feel comfort and confidence in knowing that we are continuing his vision and providing exceptional care to our patients.

Dr. Louis Sloan is the founder of who we are and what North Texas Infectious Diseases Consultants (NTIDC) is today! His vision was to create a loving, caring environment for his staff and our patients. Dr. Sloan accomplished all of that and more.
