North Texas Infectious Diseases Consultants (NTIDC) is very experienced in the treatment of viral infections including HIV, hepatitis B & C, herpes simplex, HPV and other viral infections. With our on-site Specialty Pharmacy, we can assist in the management of your ART therapy to help you be successful in your treatment plan.

PreP

Pre-exposure prophylaxis or PreP is a preventative option for people who are not infected with HIV, but are at a substantial risk of contracting HIV. PrEP is a pill taken daily and should be used in combination with other prevention methods such as using a condom for even greater protection than when used alone. When taken consistently, PrEP has been shown to reduce the risk of HIV infection by up to 92%.

PeP

PeP means taking antiretroviral medications (ART) after potentially being exposed to HIV to prevent becoming infected with HIV. PeP must be used within 72 hours after a recent possible exposure to HIV.

Some of the treatments for Infectious diseases require a specialty pharmacy and our’s on-site is designed to help you obtain and be successful with your medications and your treatment plan. They can help our patients with co-pay assistance, adherence support, prior authorization and other assistance that might be needed in obtaining their medications.
