Infectious Diseases Consultant

Dr. Emma Dishner joined North Texas Infectious Diseases Consultants in 2019 after completing her Infectious Diseases Training with an Immunocompromised focus at Baylor College of Medicine and UT MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. Through her training at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Dr. Dishner has extensive experience in the care and management of infections related to cancer treatments including CAR-T cells, Stem Cell Transplants, immunotherapies and other traditional oncology therapies. She also has experience caring for other general ID patients including but not limited to HIV, surgical site infections, ICU patients, and cardiac device infections. She is a true Texan being born at Baylor University Medical Center (BUMC) and completing all of her training in Texas.

Dr. Emma Dishner is a proud BUMC alumni completing her Internal Medicine training in 2017. She completed medical school at McGovern Medical School at UT-Houston. She has also completed a MPH in Epidemiology at Texas A&M and a BS in Biology at UT-Austin. She is an active member of the IDSA, TMA, and Dallas County Medical Society. Dr Dishner is married to her husband Drew and loves spending time at home with their dog Snoopy and their box turtles. She spends her extra time outdoors and is an avid bird watcher.
